They Might Be Giants' Apollo 18--named for the next moon shot--features more of the dynamic duo's eccentric pop songs, including the first single, "The Statue Got Me High", and the style-hopping medley "Fingertips". Over coffee in their Brooklyn home-studio, accordionist John Linnell explained "Fingertips": "It was inspired by those TV ads where they advertise a collection of songs and have quick cuts from one chorus to another while the titles are scrolling up the screen. I always liked those." The Giants' melodic and lyrical backflips have brought them a small measure of fame. "I was recognized by the UPS man," admits guitarist John Flansburgh. "He said, 'Aren't you the guy from that thing?'"
