They Might Be Giants to Release 7" Single & CD's; National Tour Set for September

September 3, 1993

THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS have a mighty schedule planned for the fall as they hit the road in support of their latest release "Why Does The Sun Shine? (The Sun Is A Mass of Incandescent Gas)" on a CD-5 and limited edition 7" vinyl.

With their uncanny ability to look the mysteries of the universe in the face and say, "Take a picture, why don't you!", THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS have recorded the long-standing audience favorite "Why Does The Sun Shine". The song was originally from a 1959 educational record called Space Songs. The b-side is a TMBG tribute to southern rock with the group covering the Allman Brothers hit "Jessica".

But wait, that's not all - THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS CD-5 has two more new recordings! The band covers the Meat Puppets "Whirlpool" and throw in the brand new show stopper "Spy", - all on one CD single!

LOOK FOR THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS IN CONCERT THROUGH SEPTEMBER! The band's all new show will include "The Sun" and "Spy" as well as many other brand new songs to be featured on their upcoming Elektra album. The band recently expanded to six piece line up, featuring trumpet virtuoso Steve Bernstein. See tour dates attached.

Don't forget it's They Might Be Giants Dial-A-Song's 10th anniversary! Simply call 718-387-6962 to hear unreleased material--a no extra charge call!

And if that's not enough, there is a They Might Be Giants Christmas single in the works, featuring "O Tannenbaum" (in German) and a new album expected out in the spring of '94.
